OK, I'll get right to it. Doesn't James Bond sound in your mouth exactly like Jason Bourne? It's not a coincidence that Matt Damon's character has a similar name to the most famous agent in the world right? It was the perfect plan for the release of the first Bourne movie. And by the way the Bourne movies kicks ass.
They certainly kicked the asses of the previous Bond movies.
Now a funny thing is that Bourne uses Bond's similar name for success and does it brilliantly with the super spy action flicks. The fighting scenes in the Bourne trilogy is in a class for it self. Until now.
Now the new and improved Bond adventures uses a similar style of shooting and the fighting scenes are event more hectic and advanced than the Bourne (Jackie Chan) series!
I say copy the good stuff and use it in your movie. If it's good it's good.
I loved both the Bourne trilogy, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

While on speaking of super agents here is the super agent of them all:
Fox Mulder. He may not have the physique but he makes up for it in intelligence!

So, this weeks threesome is 3 agent studs.
Congrats to all you ladies!

Halloween is coming up so what better to fit in my Weekly Threesome than a monster theme?

First out in the threesome is in my opinion one of the best monster flicks ever:
"Cloverfield".
Clover itself (the monster) is slowly revealed during the movie while we follow the story about Rob Hawkins and his "going away party"-friends.
Handy cam recording similar to the zombie masterpiece "Rec" makes it feel as you were there, running for your life, down the streets of New York.
Kudos to Matt Reeves for making the story into an awesome Movie.

The monster in "The Host" may be size small compared to Clover but still earns the title monster for it's efforts. It emerges from Seoul's Han river after a careless Morgue empties hundreds of bottles of formaldehyde in to the sewers nearby.
The story, like the story in "Cloverfield", doesn't revolve around the creature itself.
This is why these monster movies make it to the "good movie"- genre.
Director of "The Host" is Joon-ho Bong.

Why is Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane in the monster category?
Well he isn't a creature like in "Alien" but he's a monster in his mind.
In "Ironman" he betrays Tony Starks, sets a price on his head and tries to steal his company. Monstrous enough?
Anyway, he looks super cool in his suits. Bald with beard is a villain's new "black".
And by the way, I love Jeff Bridges photos! I didn't have a clue he took pictures (that well).

Three is this blog's lucky number so here are the lucky ones.

Timothy Dalton as Simon Skinner in "Hot Fuzz".
We all know him as the lamest version of James Bond but this time he nails the role. Oh, would you look at that smile. It's fantastic! What a character.

Matthew McConaughey as David Wooderson in "Dazed & Confused".
He's that guy that gets older while the high school girls stay the same age.
Recognize the type? Usually I hate him (both that type and McConaughey) but this time I can't seem to not love him. It's like his mom gave birth to him so that he could be David Wooderson for us!
"Dazed & Confused" is also up there in my top three of best High School movies ever.

While I'm on the subject of High School movies I might as well drop the name of the best one yet.
-"Superbad"!
It's the perfect mathematical combination of friends, parties and alcohol.

As you can see, this Weekly Threesome has a little horror touch to it.
Even though Halloween is not here yet.

First out is the Spanish horror flick "REC" by directors Jaume Balagueró ("The Nameless") & Paco Plaza.
I have to admit, I was kinda skeptical before seeing it. I had just seen the poster and thought this was just another mass produced horror mistake sent to Swedish theaters by the states of money making (America).
Man, was i wrong! "REC" climbs directly to my top 3 of movies in the wide horror genre.
You should definitely see "REC" first instead of remake "Quarantine".
As always, the original is probably better!

Here's a hero for you; Beast! One of the dogs in Wes Craven's cult classic "The Hills Have Eyes". Best animal performance. Ever.

And last we have Roy Scheider as Police Chief Martin Brody in the Jaws movies.
They should make a clothing line based on him. Horror fashion top 10 on my list.
He's this warm fatherly character with a crazy paranoid touch. Cool when cool is needed. Gets the job done (when he's got one).
Favorite moment is when Brody comes home from work drunk after getting fired.

A moment in history takes place as I present to you the first trio in my "Weekly Threesome". Take notes.

First out we have Tom "Crazy" Cruise as Les Goodman in Tropic Thunder. Who knew Cruise could be this slimy, dirt talking m*therfucker?
Well... Anybody I guess. But! He presents the words with class. The man has given the curse word "f*ckface" new life!

Then we have Seth MacFarlane as the voice of Johann Krauss in the new Hellboy movie. Some of his "German jokes" were pretty lame. Lame in a good way though as in "MacFarlane is always hilarious".

Last but not least is not only my favorite illustrator/artist but also one of my dearest friends. Jan Bielecki hooked my band up with an awesome illustration for a logo.
Thanks a thousand times!
